Simba has logged many miles through the woods, in the arena, and out across the pasture. When the snow hits the ground, Simba lets out a big sigh because he knows the skis and sled are coming out for another fun-filled day—fully aware he’s the one providing the entertainment.

Simba enjoys attention almost as much as the family dog and will even sit and lay down like one. He’s gentle enough to pack kids around like a gentleman, yet trained well enough to ride around like a seasoned Quarter Horse.

Simba has all the buttons you would expect from a well-trained gelding: side pass, turnaround, and leg yield, yet he’s just as happy to be a simple point-and-go trail partner. You can even throw the bridle away and he will continue riding around honestly and willingly. He has been ridden double on the trail by kids and always takes care of his riders.

He confidently handles obstacles such as teeter-totter bridges, cowboy curtains, tarps, whips, flags, and gunfire—they’re all old news to him. Simba has the mindset of a horse twice his age and is very receptive to his rider.

He would easily catch the judges’ attention in western dressage, but he’s just as happy being a family trail horse. Simba has even had time off in the pasture for a month and came back riding exactly the same as he did before—steady and dependable.

He has been exposed to farm machinery, equipment, road traffic, deer, cattle, and more. Simba is sound and up to date on teeth, vaccines, Coggins, and health papers.

Reason for sale: Simba’s current owners are relocating out of state and unfortunately are unable to take him with them, so we are helping find him a great new home where he can continue to be enjoyed.
